1. About This Policy
This Cancellation and Refund Policy ("Policy") is issued by Malik Systems Ltd (Company Registration No. 17265815), a private limited company registered in England and Wales, operating the Qaboolify matrimonial platform (qaboolify.com) as a registered trading name.
This Policy forms part of Malik Systems Ltd's Terms of Service and should be read alongside our full Terms of Service and Privacy & GDPR Policy.
We have designed our billing and cancellation processes to be as transparent and straightforward as possible. Our objective is to ensure that no Member is ever charged for a service they do not wish to continue using.
2. Subscription Billing — How It Works
Qaboolify offers access to enhanced platform features through two paid subscription tiers: Pro and Premium. Each is available on a monthly or annual billing basis.
Subscriptions commence immediately upon successful payment confirmation and automatically renew at the end of each billing period (monthly or annual, as selected at the point of purchase) at the then-current rate, unless cancelled before the renewal date.
The renewal date is displayed within your account at Settings → Subscription. You will receive an automated reminder email not less than 7 days before your subscription renewal date.
All subscription charges are in GBP (£), inclusive of applicable taxes. Payment card data is processed exclusively by our certified payment provider — Malik Systems Ltd does not store card details.
3. How to Cancel Your Subscription — Two-Click Process
Members may cancel their subscription at any time without penalty or restriction, using either of the following methods:
Method A — Self-Service Dashboard (Two Clicks): Log in to your account → navigate to Settings → Subscription → select Cancel Subscription → confirm. Cancellation is processed immediately and confirmed on-screen. No further steps are required.
Method B — Email Request: Send an email to billing@qaboolify.com from the email address registered to your account, stating your request to cancel. Malik Systems Ltd will confirm cancellation in writing within one (1) UK business day of receiving a valid request. No further action is required from the Member once confirmation is received.
In both cases, cancellation takes immediate effect in the sense that your subscription will not renew at the next billing date. You will continue to enjoy full access to your paid tier features until the end of the current, already-paid billing period.
After the current billing period expires, your account will automatically revert to the free tier. No further charges will be made.
4. Subscription Refunds
Malik Systems Ltd does not issue refunds for subscription fees that have already been charged and received, except where expressly required by applicable UK consumer law.
Statutory 14-Day Withdrawal Right: Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, consumers have a 14-day right of withdrawal from distance contracts for digital services. However, by proceeding with a Qaboolify subscription, Members expressly request immediate access to the Platform and acknowledge that the right of withdrawal is thereby waived upon commencement of the service, in accordance with Regulation 37(1)(b). This is clearly disclosed at the point of purchase.
Consumer Rights Act 2015: Where the Service is not delivered as described, or is materially defective, Members may be entitled to a remedy under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Please contact billing@qaboolify.com in the first instance.
Promotional or discounted subscriptions: refunds on discounted or promotional subscription purchases will be assessed in accordance with the applicable promotion terms and UK consumer law.
5. One-Time Feature Purchases — Delivery and Refund Policy
Qaboolify offers optional, non-recurring one-time feature purchases including Profile Boost (24-hour enhanced Discover visibility), Spotlight (48-hour featured placement in Discover), and the ID Verified Badge (permanent identity verification credential).
Instant Delivery: All one-time feature purchases are fulfilled automatically and in full at the point of successful payment — the feature is activated and delivered to the Member's account profile instantaneously upon confirmation of payment.
Non-Refundable Once Activated: Because the service is delivered and consumed immediately upon activation, all one-time feature purchases are strictly non-refundable once delivered to the account, regardless of whether the Member subsequently makes active use of the feature during its active period.
Undelivered Purchases: In the event that a one-time purchase is charged but not delivered to the account (e.g. due to a technical failure), the Member should contact billing@qaboolify.com within 48 hours of the charge. Malik Systems Ltd will investigate and, where appropriate, issue a full refund or re-deliver the feature within one (1) UK business day.
This non-refundable position does not affect any statutory rights a Member may have under applicable UK consumer law in respect of services that are faulty, not as described, or not provided.
6. Accounts Terminated for Policy Violations
Where a Member's account is suspended or permanently terminated by Malik Systems Ltd as a result of a breach of the Terms of Service, any active subscription will be cancelled at the end of the current billing period. No refund will be issued in respect of the remaining paid period.
In cases of serious violation — including fraud, scam activity, or exploitation — Malik Systems Ltd reserves the right to terminate the account with immediate effect. In such cases no refund of any subscription or one-time purchase fee will be issued.
7. Chargeback and Dispute Policy
Malik Systems Ltd encourages all Members to contact billing@qaboolify.com before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute with their card issuer. The vast majority of billing queries can be resolved quickly and informally.
We maintain comprehensive records of all transactions, subscription activations, feature deliveries, and cancellation requests. These records are provided in full to the relevant payment provider in the event of a disputed transaction.
Initiating a chargeback in bad faith — where the charge was legitimate and the service was delivered — may result in the immediate suspension or permanent termination of the Member's account.
