1. Our Commitment
Malik Systems Ltd is committed to making Qaboolify usable by everyone, including Members who use assistive technology, rely on keyboard navigation, or have visual, auditory, motor, or cognitive impairments.
Accessibility is an ongoing effort, not a one-off project. We review and improve the Platform on a rolling basis as we build new features and receive feedback from Members.
2. Conformance Standard
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, the widely accepted standard for web accessibility, and to the requirements of the Equality Act 2010.
This is an aim, not a guarantee. Some parts of the Platform may not yet fully conform. Where we are aware of a gap, we prioritise it based on impact and work to resolve it, see Section 4 below.
3. What We Support Today
Keyboard navigation: core flows, including sign-up, profile creation, Discover, messaging, and settings, are operable without a mouse.
Screen readers: pages use semantic HTML, labelled form fields, and image alt text so content can be read out correctly by common screen readers (VoiceOver, NVDA, TalkBack).
Text resizing and zoom: the Platform is built with relative units and remains usable when browser text size is increased or the page is zoomed up to 200%.
Colour contrast: our design system targets WCAG AA contrast ratios for text and interactive elements against their backgrounds.
Reduced motion: animations are kept minimal, and we respect your device's reduced-motion preference where supported by the browser.
Focus indicators: interactive elements show a visible focus state when navigated to by keyboard.
4. Known Limitations
Some third-party embedded content (for example, identity verification and payment flows hosted by our certified providers) is outside our direct control, and its accessibility depends on that provider.
Certain older or lower-priority screens may not yet meet the full AA standard. We maintain an internal backlog of known issues and work through them by severity and how many Members are affected.
If a specific page or feature is causing you difficulty, please report it, see Section 5, so we can prioritise it correctly.
5. Reporting an Accessibility Barrier
If you encounter any barrier using Qaboolify, please contact accessibility@qaboolify.com with as much detail as you can provide: the page or feature involved, the device, browser, and any assistive technology you were using, and what you expected to happen.
We aim to acknowledge accessibility reports within one (1) UK business day and to action confirmed issues within 5 working days, prioritised by severity and impact.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may also raise a complaint with the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS) or, where relevant, seek independent advice on your rights under the Equality Act 2010.
6. Alternative Access
If you are unable to complete a process on the Platform due to an accessibility barrier, including identity verification, subscription management, or account deletion, contact support@qaboolify.com and we will help you complete it another way.
