How Qaboolify's Guardian Dashboard Works — A Complete Guide

Qaboolify's Guardian Dashboard is the most complete implementation of wali involvement in any Muslim marriage platform. This guide walks through exactly how it works — for both wards and their guardians.
For the Ward: Setting Up Guardian Mode
Go to Settings > Wali / Guardian. You'll see an invite form. Enter your guardian's name and email address, select which conversation you want them involved in, and choose a permission level. Hit Send — they'll receive a branded invitation email within minutes.
You can invite your wali to additional conversations at any time, with different permission levels for each. Your wali sees each conversation separately and can only access what you've explicitly granted them.
For the Guardian: Accepting the Invitation
Click the link in the invitation email. You'll land on Qaboolify's wali portal where you can sign in with an existing account or create a new one. No paid subscription needed — your role is as a guardian, not a member searching for a match.
Once signed in, you'll see your ward's dashboard immediately.
What the Guardian Dashboard Shows
Your guardian sees each of your active matches as an expandable card. For each match, they can see:
- The permission level you've granted them for that conversation
- The current marriage journey stage (Introduced → Getting to Know → Wali Involved → Meeting Arranged → Engaged → Nikah)
- Approve / Decline buttons if you've set Approval Required
- The full conversation thread if you've granted Read Only or above (only once the partner has consented)
- A message input if you've granted Full Participant access
- A link to view the partner's complete profile — photos, voice intro, personality answers, Islamic values, and verification
Partner Consent
When you open a conversation where a wali is active, you'll see a consent notice. You're being asked to allow the ward's guardian to view your messages and your profile. This is always your choice — you can accept or decline. If you decline, the guardian will see a "Waiting for consent" notice and cannot access that conversation.
This consent is stored per-conversation. You may consent to one and not another. Your decision is respected completely.
Adjusting Permissions and Removing Access
The ward can change permission levels at any time — from the messages view or from Settings > Wali. They can also remove the guardian entirely. The guardian loses access immediately. The guardian cannot remove themselves or change their own permissions.
Guardian Mode is a Premium feature. Upgrade in Settings > Subscription.
