How to Write a Marriage Profile That Attracts the Right Person

Your profile is the first thing a potential spouse will see. It should be honest, specific, and reflect who you truly are — not who you think others want you to be.
Be Specific About Your Deen
Rather than saying "I'm practising," describe what that looks like in your daily life. Do you pray all five prayers? Do you attend jumu'ah regularly? Do you fast voluntarily outside Ramadan? Specificity helps find genuine compatibility.
Describe Your Life, Not Just Your Résumé
Your profession matters, but so does how you spend a Friday evening, what you read, and what your relationship with your family looks like. Paint a picture of your actual life.
Be Clear About What You Are Looking For
Don't be vague. If you want someone who prays and wears hijab, say so respectfully. Clear expectations save everyone's time and avoid mismatched introductions.
Photos
Use a recent, clear photo. You don't need to look like a model — you need to look like yourself. Authenticity is attractive. Haya blurs photos by default until mutual interest is expressed, protecting your modesty.
